CBD Oil for Mental Health

Around 20 percent of the population suffers from anxiety and anxiety-related disorders. If you have anxiety, you may be searching for a new way to relax your body and mind. CBD oil can be of great help in achieving this.

What is CBD oil?

Cannabidiol (CBD) oil is a plant-based oil that carries Phyto (plant) chemicals called cannabinoids. Cannabinoids are “feel good” molecules usually made by the body when we are feeling secure and relaxed or engaged in something that makes us happy, like hugging someone we love or waiting for our favorite meal. The human body also releases Cannabinoids when we sleep well and exercise. Cannabinoids attach to small docking stations in our bodies called cannabinoid receptors that support those feel-good responses.

The cannabinoid system is essential to helping the body keep itself in balance. This system maintains our stomach and intestines, keeps inflammation down, and helps with pain modulation while assisting in maintaining our mood in the right place. Research indicates that the cannabinoids from CBD can prevent the breakdown of anandamide. When we hold more anandamide in our body, we experience bliss.

Can CBD oil make me high, like marijuana?

No, it will not. CBD oil is derived from the hemp plant, which is a cannabis plant and is a close relative of marijuana. However, CBD from hemp has almost no tetra-hydro-cannabinoids (THC). THC is the compound in marijuana which has psychoactive influences and can give you a high. In fact, several investigations on CBD revealed that CBD itself can counter the harmful outcomes of THC–including appetite issues, weight gain, and paranoia.

Is CBD oil legal?

CBD derived from hemp is legalized in all the 50 states. CBD has no adequate amount of THC. There is a tiny quantity, but it is not sufficient to cause any psychoactive effects. As a result, with CBD – there are none of the legal affairs associated with marijuana.

Is CBD useful for mental health challenges?

For decades, the World Health Organization’s expert council on drug dependence has advised a long list of ailments that CBD may help with. Research studies on both humans and animals have proved that CBD may help reduce feelings of isolation, remove autism symptoms, and reduce the impacts of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It seems CBD can tranquilize the brain and strengthen the hippocampus, which is a brain area crucial for healthy emotion and memory. One study showed CBD could conquer social anxiety in a way similar to ipsapirone and diazepam (valium). A 2012 double-blind, randomized clinical trial examined the privileges of CBD for psychosis. In this study, 40 volunteer patients were issued CBD or an antipsychotic. Both approaches helped patient symptoms equally, while the group taking CBD experienced many fewer side effects and no difficulties with movement, weight gain, or hormonal dysregulation—all typical side effects of antipsychotic medications. A version of CBD oil was just investigated for its benefits in childhood epilepsy—and will now be issued as simply a CBD oil.

Is CBD safe?

CBD seems to be remarkably safe. In fact, the FDA-approved use of CBD for epilepsy was analyzed in children, which advises both kids and adults can use it safely. While it has consequences on relaxing the body and assisting with pain, CBD does not crush the breathing centers of the brain in the same manner as opioid drugs do, which is why there is no concern, even in overdose, that you would have for pain-killing prescriptions.

Since the 1960s, medical research has gathered research around the safety of CBD. Ideal doses of 10mg to 100mg a day show no adverse effects. Even one study where patients took 1,280 mg a day did not observe any difficulty. National Institute of Drug Abuse has declared that CBD oil is safe, and recently the FDA authorized CBD oil for use in children with epilepsy.

Keeping in mind the above-mentioned details, it is safe to say that – if you are experiencing issues with mental health, do not shy away from trying CBD. It can be of great help. Not sure where to find CBD? Try CBDOILS.com for high-quality CBD oils!
